Montenegro is certainly one of the most interesting places in the world and one of TOP WORLD TOURIST destination (according by Lonely Planet, …).
Even though it covers solely around 14.000 km2 and it only has about 670.000 citizens, its contribution to the world cultural heritage is impressive comparing its size.
During centuries of its rich history Montenegro has survived and remained one of the brightest models for the fight for freedom, for its own existence, and a place of which people always spoke with respect. Christian, Muslim, Illyrian, Byzantine, Turkish, and Slav civilizations merged here making Montenegro forever a crossroad of culture and history.
Montenegro has changed its name many times, from the Latin era under the mane of Prevalis, to the medieval state Zeta, and then to the modern name Crna Gora (MONTENEGRO). As the name changed, so did the land, thanks to the influence of all the civilizations which for a shorter or longer period settled the territory of Montenegro, turning it into a mosaic of cultural heritage. Even today, Montenegors mosaic of cultural heritage is its most valuable aspect.
Some will say that its name, Crna Gora (MONTENEGRO), was brought by the seamen for whom from the open sea seemed cragged and dark, because immediately above the warm shores rose mountains and crags intersected with gorges. Others would say that its name was given by its enemies, because of the bad luck which would strike everyone trying to conquer it, in some long gone days. The truth lies that the country carries its name by those who made it a state – the dynasty Crnojevic. Along with the dynasty of Petrovic they have remained the founders of a modern, small but proud, country in the Mediterranean.
Montenegro is one of the oldest European states. Maybe its name, Montenegro – as it sounds in the majority of world languages, will trick you into thinking that it is a country of South America. But if you look around the European map, one will discover that Europe with its entire national, cultural, and historically – geographical
Montenegro is a sovereign state in Southeastern Europe. It has a coast on the Adriatic Sea to the south-west and is bordered by Croatia to the west, Bosnia and Herzegovina to the northwest, Serbia to the northeast and Albania to the south-east. Its capital and largest city is Podgorica, while Cetinje is designated as the Prijestonica, meaning the former Royal Capital City diversity hides a small, but in many ways special and attractive state in it.

To be paid at the base upon embarkation by bank certified cheque, cash, traveller’s cheques or credit card (Visa or MasterCard only). The deposit will be charged the equivalent amount in the local currency. If paid by credit card, we recommend you contact your bank to advise them of the transaction, prior to the charge being processed. Should the refundable (subject to damage or loss) Security Deposit by credit card be refused at the time of embarkation, you will be required instead, to take out the non-refundable Security Insurance.
Equipment and Options
All yachts are equipped with bimini top, electrical anchor windlass, roller furling genoa, full a batten mainsail (easy furling main), self tailing winches, autopilot, GPS, additional ventilation, oversized water tanks and fridges, hot water, hot deck shower, CD-player with cockpit speakers, dinghy plus outboard engine and more.
The Catanas are additionally equipped with: autopilot Raymarine ST 7001, chart plotter, maxiview repeater, watermaker, microwave, freezer, 220 V & 12 V plugs, solar panels and a lot more.
For your personal comfort, you will find the following equipment for each guest onboard: snorkelling gear, 2 sets of linen and towels per week, beach towels.
Consumables: All yachts are delivered to you with full tanks of fuel (yacht & dinghy), full tank of water, 1 bottle of cooking gas in duty + 1 spare bottle. You have to re-deliver the yacht with full tanks of fuel and water.
Provisions: Once you have gone through the provisions list, you are required to submit your order (no later than 20 days prior to departure date). Your groceries and other useful items will be ready upon your arrival. Please return your completed provisions list to our office by emailing our staff at: firstname.lastname@example.org.Payment is made at the base on arrival.
For charters booked with the pre-paid Meal Package Option: Your hostess/cook will shop for provisions (according to your preferences) and have your vessel fully stocked and ready prior to your arrival. All the cooking and cleaning in the galley will be taken care of by your hostess/cook while you relax!
For charters booked with skipper only (no hostess/cook): You will need to supply your own food by shopping on arrival or order from the self-select provisions list (if you would like your vessel to be stocked and ready prior to your arrival). You are also required to provide meals for your skipper therefore you will need to keep this in mind when you are purchasing or ordering your food. Please note that the skipper is only responsible for the operation of the yacht. Cooking for the skipper as well as cleaning of the galley will be your responsibility.
Charter Requirement: It is required that you spend your last night moored at the base’s pontoon. The first night is optional.
