Sydney Harbour The unforgettable way to impress your friends and family. Celebrate your wedding, birthday, a corporate event, or even a family re-union aboard this luxurious vessel. The extraordinary way to see it all.

THE SYDNEY SUNDANCER

Built to the highest standards for luxury yachting, Sydney Sundancer is more like a floating private hotel. There is an amazingly large foredeck to laze away the days in the tropical sun with a freshly made fruit punch in hand, while the aft deck has plenty of room to settle back, enjoy the technicolour sunsets and delicious dinner.

"Toys" like windsurfer and fishing gear, masks and snorkel are standard equipment. You can even be captain for a day. The roller furling sails mean the yacht is easily managed. So go on, take the helm and let the skipper help you with the finer points of sailing. Even novices finish their holiday sounding like experts. Below decks you're greeted by the richness and gentle hue of traditional seafarer's teak.

Double staterooms, lavishly furnished, mean your sleeping quarters are every bit as relaxing as your day has been. The superbly appointed galley has seen Sydney Sundancer's talented chef turn out gourmet delights guaranteed to bring a pleasing smile to the face of even the most fastidious connoisseur.

Come aboard Sydney Sundancer to experience the holiday of a lifetime!

Husband and wife team Lynne and John Boyce have had a romance with the sea ever since they can remember. Lynne called the QE2 home for years while John has sailed everything from tiny dinghies to the most luxurious pleasure craft afloat anywhere in the world. They're justifiably proud of their home away from home. They personally supervised every aspect of the construction of the Sydney Sundancer and took great care to incorporate every convenience. John is a master Mariner and has been sailing for over 30 years. His expert knowledge ensures the yacht runs smoothly and so does your holiday. John has sailed round the world but the sirens of the Great Barrier Reef keep calling him back. Lynne is a master chef and every day intoxicating new aromas will emerge from the galley carried on cool ocean breezes. Once you've experienced fresh fish caught only moments ago you can't go back to anything else. Lynne's cooking has an emphasis on healthy cuisine and she is more than pleased to cater for people with special dietary requirements.

Come enjoy Sydney Sundancer and you'll see why we say Lynne and John will pamper you in this heavenly hideaway.

You’ll never feel confined, as the ship offers pleasingly spacious accommodation and expansive teak decks with ample space for relaxing and play.

In fact, you’ll find that the ship offers more outdoor space per passenger than most conventional cruise ships.

The décor of Star Clipper is reminiscent of the grand age of sail. Antique prints and paintings of famous sailing ships please the eye, while teak and gleaming mahogany rails are richly reminiscent of Star Clippers’ proud nautical heritage.

All Star Clippers ships feature open-seating dining in an elegantly appointed dining room.

Far East - To the ends of the Earth in the Andaman Sea

The little ports and scores of islands dotting the Andaman Sea along the west coasts of Thailand and Malaysia have long been stopping places for traders from India, Indonesia, China, Burma, Arabia and Europe. Here indigenous people traded for goods they could not obtain locally.

So it’s not surprising to see temples that look Chinese and wooden fishing boats that could be Portuguese.

The people are friendly and their smiles are genuine, perhaps because they haven’t had to cope with crowds of tourists. The clarity of the water and the variety of coral and marine life are amazing. For diving and snorkelling, or just curling your toes in warm sand, this is paradise found.

After exploring the pristine beauty of the Andaman Sea, select sailings continue along the western coast of Malaysia to Malacca, known as the “City of Dreams” and also the oldest city in Malaysia, before reaching cosmopolitan and very immaculate Singapore.

Let us book your flights in conjunction with your cruise, saving you time & money!

We change lives. We have been changing lives for over thirty years, taking more than 45,000 people on their very own adventure across the high seas. It’s no secret that sailing with us will change perceptions both of your own ability and of those around you, regardless of physical ability.

Since its inception in 1978 the Jubilee Sailing Trust has strived to enable people of all physical abilities to sail. In the early 1990’s it was becoming clear that the mission was becoming increasingly popular. The Jubilee Sailing Trust’s ship Lord Nelson, commissioned and specifically designed for the trust, was unable to continue to supply the growing demand. With this in mind Lindsey Neve, then director of the JST made it her aim to fundraise for the build of a new ship. A new committee was set up comprising six members of whom five were volunteers.

Tenacious at sea In July 1995, the National Lottery awarded the trust 65% of the estimated cost of such a large project. Initial funding secured, the project got fully underway. After extensive research and negotiations, the new ship committee chose Merlin Quay, a site that included an old office block. The site was renamed Jubilee Yard. Now funding was in place, Tony Castro’s design JST/02 which took over 2½ years to fully complete (and at one point involved 25 people working from four offices to complete all the drawings), could get underway. On the 6th of June 1996 HRH The Duke of York hammered golden rivets into Siberian Larchwood during the “keel laying ceremony” and work could officially begin.

Tenacious bellThe timber frames used to construct the hull were first cut in Aug 1996, whilst work began on the old office block the JST acquired. The building was to be transformed into accommodation for volunteers who would stay for “Shorewatch” holidays and offices for the JST. During their stay volunteers of all physical abilities enjoyed helping the shipwrights in the construction of the ship. Constructed upside down, the wooden hull was finally turned the right way up on the 23rd October 1998 in an extravagant ceremony with The Duke of York. The turning process involved fitting large circular turning clamps to the hull and took just over one hour. With the hull the correct way up, fitting out the interior of the vessel could begin. Prefabricated sections were put in place, including the fixed bunks designed to be wider on the bottom bunk to enable wheelchair users easier access. On Thursday the 3rd of February 2000 Tenacious was ready to leave the yard, and to a great many people it was an emotional day.

Crowds gathered to get a glimpse of Tenacious as she saw daylight for the first time. Transporters drove the ship towards the barge which was to send Tenacious into her natural element. The following day tug boats took Tenacious to Vosper Thornycroft to have the masts and yards fitted. On the 6th of April 2000 Tenacious was officially named in a ceremony attended by HRH The Duke of York. Tenacious sailed on her maiden voyage 1,548 days after her keel was laid, on 1st September 2000 from Southampton to Southampton calling at Sark, St Helier and Weymouth. She has been delivering freedom, fun and adventure for everyone ever since.

The JST voyage experience encourages self-discovery and cultivates active participation. The supportive and well-designed environment quickly breaks-down prejudice, promotes equality and mutual understanding.  It is where people find new strengths and learn to see strengths in others without being diverted by a perceived weakness

About Jubilee Sailing Trust

Jubilee Sailing Trust (JST) is a globally unique, UN-accredited charity which utilises the adventure of tall ship sailing to unlock human potential and break down barriers between people of different circumstances - especially between people living with disability and the able-bodied. As of December 2015 we have now established Jubilee Sailing Trust Australia and Jubilee Sailing Trust NZ as charitable organisations to deliver the work of JST on a global basis. Tenacious, the world’s largest operating timber hulled vessel has voyaged over 18,000 nautical miles from Southampton UK to deliver a programme of voyages, day sails, charitable partnership work and corporate days over the next 12-18months around South East Australia and New Zealand as the start of an ongoing relationship with this part of the world. Tenacious was built 16 years ago by JST in Southampton by 1,500 volunteers approximately half of whom were living with some form of disability. She includes features not seen on other vessels such as six wheelchair lifts between the decks, deck ribs and a speaking compass for the vision impaired, vibrating alarm pads under the bunks for the hearing impaired, you can helm her with the traditional wheel or if limited mobility use a joystick, we can even lift a wheelchair user into the platforms up the mast!

There are aids for the visually impaired like a speaking compasses and braille signage; people with limited dexterity can even helm the ship with a joystick – so disabled and able-bodied crew members can work together side-by-side. There are no passengers and no restrictions. In this way, a JST voyage provides a unique environment where disability is not a factor and those with disabilities can operate as equals alongside the able-bodied, where everyone comes together to work as a single team.Over the last 35 years the have provided never-to-forget adventures to almost 45,000 people, including: 5,548 wheelchair users; 1,899 people who are blind; 547 amputees; 1,671 with cerebral palsy; and 1,295 with hearing impairments. In Australia, around 1 in 5 people have some form of disability (over 4 million people). These individuals have significantly lower rates of social participation (53% compared to 83%) and almost double the unemployment rate (9.4% compared to 4.9%).During her stay in Australia, our unique tall ship Tenacious will tour South Eastern Australia, visiting major ports like Sydney, Adelaide and Hobart. Our objective is to ensure that over 1,500 Australians have the opportunity to sail on Tenacious whilst she visits, with around half having some sort of disability. As you will see on our voyage listings, we have a variety of different types of voyages available to book – ranging from Day Sails to 12 day long trips. We also have a number of opportunities for charters and group bookings. To help you navigate the booking process, please see the below table which includes an explanation of the forms, medical information and insurance requirements for each voyage type.

The proficient captain is yours to command. A gourmet chef is at your beckon call. The itinerary is yours to choose. Feast on world-class cuisine, fine champagne and wine. Relax in the sumptuous comfort of your yacht. Let the crew spoil you.

For experienced sailors, the fully crewed charter is your opportunity to sail aboard a superb, luxury-class yacht, while you do as little or as much sailing as you wish. Marvellous gourmet meals are prepared and served by your chef/hostess. You’ll be absolutely pampered by the crew; you have no chores, no responsibilities.

For non-sailors, the fully crewed charter is a cruise vacation with a touch of adventure. Best of all, you’re not lost in the crowd as you would be on a huge, impersonal cruise ship; you have an entire luxury yacht to yourself, and its crew completely at your service.

The crew is selected with the utmost care. They will treat you royally.

The crew members are professionals. They are expert sailors, proud of the yachts they sail, and knowledgeable about the places you’ll be sailing. They are dedicated to serving you.

Guest accommodations are always commodious and private, with separate crew quarters and work areas that enable your crew to offer attentive, yet unobtrusive service.

If the yachts in our fleet are too large, or too small, or are simply not what you had in mind, we'll find the right one for you anywhere in the world. We have access to fully crewed luxury yachts from 40 to 150 feet. You can charter an intimate yacht for two or a spacious yacht that sleeps sixteen.

Our Luxury Crewed Yacht Charter Consultants make it their business to know all the available yachts and their crews. You can count on them to make a perfect match.
