| The Pitcairn Islands Explorer:
These expeditions visit both
Pitcairn and Henderson Islands. Learn first hand about Pitcairn's lifestyle and
history by sharing the homes of the local people for a few days. A guided tour
by Pitcairners around their spectacular little island is breathtaking and will
make this the travel experience of a lifetime. Stepping ashore on Henderson
Island (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) makes arriving at the ends of the earth
something you will never forget. Price US$2,900.
The Pitcairn Underwater World: If you are an enthusiast for
Pitcairn history, plus always dreamed of diving the wreck of the HMS Bounty, you
better book a berth on this magical mystery tour. You will find plenty of beauty
to be discovered in the waters surrounding these islands - plus the wreck of the
clipper Wild Wave at Oeno Atoll & Cornwallis at Pitcairn.
Dive at Pitcairn Island, Henderson Island, Oeno Atoll, Temoe Atoll,
and in the Gambier Lagoon. The vast majority of the coral reefs around these
islands are awaiting FIRST TIME EVER UNDERWATER EXPLORATION! Price US$3,200.
Pitcairn Sports Fishing: The Pitcairn Islands are a sports
fishing paradise - if you want something big there is plenty of marlin to catch
from January to May every year. How about joining the locals for some spear
fishing at Pitcairn. You could also join the islanders for some tuna & wahoo
fishing from their small speedboats - How about fishing from the Pitcairn
"rocks" for your lunch. If saltwater fly fishing is high on your agenda, then
what better place to hang out than the big shallow lagoon of uninhabited Oeno
Atoll. The two-week sports fishing voyages are often organized with professional
fishing guides to make this a fishing expedition you will be talking about for
years to come - Price US$3,200.
Ducie Expedition: This special
'five-islands' expedition visits all the Pitcairn group (ie
Pitcairn, Adam's Seamount, Ducie, Henderson and Oeno) plus Temoe
Atoll and the Gambier lagoon in French Polynesia. It is
combination of all our trips rolled into one, including some
diving if you want. Learn first hand about Pitcairn's lifestyle
and history by sharing the homes of the local people for a few
days. Fish for your lunch & bird watch at the newly discovered
Adam's Seamount 80km east of Pitcairn. Explore Ducie Atoll - the
remotest speck of land in this part of the world. Step ashore on
Henderson Island (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and camp on Oeno
(weather permitting).Price US$4,400.

Robert Louis Stevenson’s writings had always had strong
and vivid associations with sea. However it was in the latter years of
his life that he undertook adventure voyages in schooners and yawls of a
similar size to Soren. In 1888 Stevenson set out with his family to
explore the South Pacific and recorded his fascination with its islands
and peoples in his memoir “In the South Seas”. His accounts tell of his
impressions of the Marquesas islands, the Tuamotu atolls, the remoter
isles of the Cooks and of course, his final landfall in Samoa. In 2008
we shall follow many of his journeys and observe what has changed and
what has remained untouched at his island destinations.
